Tarot & Automatic Writing for Morning Clarity

The Light Seer's Tarot Deck is one of my favorites

Soulful Sunday: Tarot & Automatic Writing for Morning Clarity ✨🃏

Every day holds the potential for transformation and insight, and tarot can be your guiding light. I am constantly amazed by the profound shifts that occur during tarot readings, whether it’s a brief session or an in-depth exploration. The cards laid out on the table often become a mirror, reflecting the intricate tapestry of the sitter's (that’s you, the one receiving the reading!) current life situation.

But did you know you can harness the power of tarot every morning to kickstart your day with greater clarity and focus? Here’s a simple and transformative ritual to incorporate into your daily routine:

Morning Ritual for Clarity and Direction with Tarot

  1. Prepare Your Space:

  • Find a quiet, comfortable spot.

  • Have a notebook and pen or your computer open for journaling.

  • Place your favorite oracle or tarot deck in front of you.

  1. Meditate for 5-10 Minutes:

  • Focus on Your Breath: Notice each inhale and exhale.

  • Count Your Breaths: Count each inhalation, starting at 1 and cycling back after 10.

  • Repeat a Sacred Mantra: Use a prayer or mantra that resonates with you.

  • Choose any other method that helps you center and quiet your mind.

  1. Express Gratitude:

  • Offer a brief prayer of gratitude for the guidance you are about to receive.

  1. Shuffle the Cards:

  • As you shuffle, ask, “What card will help me gain more clarity and direction today?”

  • Keep it general or focus on a specific question or situation.

  1. Draw a Card:

  • Let one card present itself—either choose one “randomly” or notice if one jumps out.

  1. Automatic Writing:

  • Turn the card over and ask, “What do I need to know today? What guidance can I receive for greater clarity and direction?”

  • Without overthinking, start writing or typing. Let the words flow freely without editing.

  • Continue until you sense the message is complete. Some may receive a sign like “period, period, period” or another form of closure from their guides.

  1. Reflect and Integrate:

  • Read over what you’ve written and consider how this guidance applies to your day ahead.

At first, this practice might feel awkward or like you’re making it up. But with patience and consistency, you’ll find this process of automatic writing with a tarot prompt to be a treasure trove of valuable, often surprising insights.

Embrace this ritual to connect deeply with your inner wisdom and start your day with purpose and clarity.
